  1. yes they do !

    u probably asked cause they dont hv eyelids but still they do sleep if u hv one u might find it sleepin at midnight wen there is no light around and no vibrations (noise) u will find it not so active and staying at one place usually the bottom of the tank

  3. i believe so, my beta sits at the bottom of his tank and it hard to get his attention so i believe he is sleeping! (and yes he's alive)

  4. no they don't sleep, they rest.  Only half of their brain is shut down when they rest.  Their brains are conscious as to their surroundings.  One eye is always sending signals to the brain and focusing on its surroundings.

    During this period they are the least active and are usually in a safe hiding place.
