Do fish have to be the same breed/ type to mate?

i have two fish... one is a common goldfish and the other is a goldfish but with googly eyes i dnt no wt thy r called

Yes they can breed.  Although these two it is highly unlikely they will.  These two cross and usually by accident in a pond situation only.

Also, goldfish are the easiest fish to breed.

Jack C. You obviously know nothing about fish, and stop writing in caps lock! If it where rare to have goldfish breed in captivity there would be no captive bred goldfish in the world today! Goldfish where bred from a wild species of carp. There would be no goldfish at all without captive breeding of them! Yes it is possible to breed those types of goldfish, they are all the same bred of fish, just a diferent variety, but you need at least a 50 gallon tank to spawn them in, then move them back into there(I am guessing 50+ gallon tank) That they live in now. Raise the fry in the large tank and idk where to sell them, doubt fish stores will take a mix goldfish b/c they do not know weather to sell it as a common or fancy variety! So you will have a few hundread fry to deal with. Good luck, and it is possible!

The one with Bubbly eyes is probably a Black Moor but no I don't think they can breed. Then again I haven't had black moors in a while

Cross-Breding is actually common, I had a regular calico male that bred with a black moore. For those who are dumb enough to respond that they cannot breed....School is back for the year right? This year make an attempt to pay attention in Biology and Science, and you will learn valuable lessons....is this who we have to look forward to running our nation? I hope not....
