Do fish spit out food when they are over feed

About 10 minutes ago i saw my gold fish spit out food.is it natural or is he overfed!

please please please help me!!!!!

its perfectly normal...try varying the food you feed them...try different brands.

Perfectly normal in goldfish. It's using it's teeth to rasp the flake into swallowable bits. It has to exhale water to swallow, so the big piece comes out as the little pieces go in. It will just eat it again until it is actually small enough to take in one piece

No its normal as far as i know its just too big for it to digest in one go ... my girlfriends fish do it all the time ... they usually burp! it out then eat it again and goes down 2nd time fine

it cant be over feeding cos they arnt fed very often but i try to make sure there fed once a day

It may have a piece of gravel stuck in its mouth
