Do fishes taild grow back?\?

i have 2 fan tail gold fish a chineese algie eater,and a rosey barbed tetra i think the tetra ate the bottom half of the gold fishes tail offwill it grow back 1 already had one die that the tali was half gone on???? or do i need to get rid of the tetra?

  1. You'll have to get rid of the fin nipper...Whoever it is. But it should grow back, just make sure to watch for infection (fin rot) which is common in fancy goldfish. Look for discoloration, pinholes, or white edges, that is a sign of fin rot. You can treat it with Maracyn or Melafix.

  3. And why do you have goldfish and tropical fish together? Gold fish make water to acidic for tropical fish, and they don't live in cold water temperatures like goldfish do. You need to remove the tetra and put him in a freshwater aquarium. Not the algae eater since their pretty hardy fish that can live in almost any water conditions.
