Do fixed female cats still let male cats mate with them?

I have an indoor/outdoor cat female that is fixed. There is this stray that wonders around and I believe its a male. Anyways my cat was out the other night and I heard cats getting it on. Could it have been her even though she is fixed?

i dont see how. unlike humans who chose to have s*x, (or drink too much. or fall for a bad line) the female has to be in heat, the male has to smell her. otherwise, neither will be interested.

Yep, it could be. Sometimes they still have a natural trace amount of the heat hormones. Not much you can do about it, and nothing is going to happen because of it.
