  4. In the form of mites, maybe, yeah.Seems like everything has a parasite and/or predator, except German cockroaches, maybe. I bet if they have a large community they have a parasite.

    Quick Google says fleas transmit tapeworms. That means the tapeworms live on fleas until a bigger, better host appears. Maybe they're transferred in blood as eggs, but it still makes them parasitic and dependent.

    This is a really good question!

    I'll bet they've got something that feeds on them, besides birds and tapeworms.
