Do flywheels have a break-in period?

I just replaced my factory flywheel for a lightwieght one.

  2. How you drive the new clutch the first few miles will determine how long it lasts.

    Be gentle with it for the first day. Pay attention to any noises - after all you may have missed something putting back together.

    Also recheck the bell housing and starter bolts after the first day. They may need re-torqued. It is better to re-torque them and find that they are right then to find out they fell out on the road. (Been there, done that, and I don't want it to happen again.)
