Being white & 4th Generation Aussie, I find it difficult to believe, but maybe someone who is 1st Generation or a newly arrived person could tell me their experiences! Do your own experinces in Australia make you want to become an Australian?

  1. As if, my grand parents are from Jordan/Syria originally and migrated to Australia during the White Australian policy. People that talk of racism in Australia, are ignorants who believe the zionist media. Australia is a great place.

  2. its not that hard actually...

  3. Being white doesn't make you Australian btw

  4. The thing with the law in Melbourne and Sydney is that they do actually catch people doing crime - but then they slap them on the wrist like they are little school girls and let them go back and re-offend over and over again. We are so weak when it comes to punishment in this country. (Sorry to get off the subject)

    Bring back the lashes!!!

  5. No - it's a pretty easy going place.

    Edit:

As for the lack of police and high crime..... consider yourself lucky. The opposite scenario is in the United States where you have excessive police. Not only is there too much law enforcement, our law enforcement is also intrusive and abusive. Not a day goes by where I don't see a handcuffed person being beaten up by police. They search your property without justification and arrest you for the silliest things - like having a beer in public. In the United States you are being watched everywhere; your phone calls are being monitored, your e-mails are being monitored, the government knows EVERYTHING about you and your money! There's got to be a middle line somewhere.

  6. I became a citizen about 6 years ago - Au is a better place to live than Ireland and also New Zealand = especially the Au health system is very good  === but what makes it most difficult to live here is the almost  complete lack of law - the police seem either totally useless or simply nonexistant - there is no war here like there was in Ireland, but the lack of law and order makes what should be a peaceful country, a place that has far too much crime and violence and nothing ever being done about it == lots of politians talking but they dont actually do anything -- thank you

  7. It's like America but without the Jews, crime, hypocrisy, racism, etc....

    I like it Down Under

  8. Personally, after hearing of how the Aborigines were treated ans are still being treated, I think it is a hard place to live, depending on who you are.  Also, we have a lot of Disillusioned and some just plain racist people emigrating there from South Africa, so it wouldn't be my country of choice.
