  1. Yes - until they die...

  2. yeah but as i recall in most cases they get bored with them after awhile and stop using them when they realize that technically there is no need

  3. If I recall correctly, presidents received secret service protection for life up until G.H.W. Bush after which the law was changed to provide protection for only an additional ten years.  So Carter and Bush I get protection for life, but Clinton only gets protection through January 2011.

  4. They will have secret service protection for there the rest of their lives.

  5. Yes - for life.

  6. Clinton authored an executive order that allows Secret Service protection to continue for him (as it does for all prervious presidents) for the rest of his life, but all subsequent presidents get protection for only ten years after they are out of office.

  7.   Yes they do !

  8. Yes, they do for the remainder of their lives, though a relatively new policy means that future retired US presidents will only have secret service for a limited time after they leave office (10 years of protection after leaving office).

  9. Yeah. Why do you ask?

  10. Yes, and its a waste of money. Presidents already make 1.6 million salary wise for 4 years, then they get million dollar book deals post presidency along with speaking engagements that pay 100s of thousands per speech.

If you ask me they should hire their own security.

  11. Yes they do.

  12. Yes.

  13. Yes they do, and so do the widows of deceased presidents.
