Do freestyle boards work in poweder.?

You can use a freestyle board in powder.  Usually the biggest issue is a sinking nose. If you set your stance back a bit it will be easier to keep the nose up,  otherwise you'll be getting a rear leg burn from pushing the tail down.

Of course they do. But if you have the spare money a powder board will work even better.

Any board will work anywhere if you have the skills to make it work. The problem with a freestyle board is that the stance is centered (that means that the board won't naturally keep the nose up and you will have to pull it up) and they usually have a true twin shape (which means the nose won't have any more float that the tail - again you will have to pull it up)

I know riders that shred the powder like crazy on their Rome freestyle boards - but only because they are great riders.
