  1. that would not do anything ,,, that is an urban myth,... i eat seeds all the time

  2. No.

The appendix used to process cellulose, when we were grass-eating creatures.  You only get appendicitis when it gets infected, not through eating things..

  3. No. I don't eat fruit and had appendicitis which I had the operation for aged 14. You might get an apple tree growing out of your bum. lol. Seriously though, the only pip that will grow on passing through your digestive system is tomato seeds. That's why there are so many tomato plants by the sewerage works.

  4. I have never heard that before. If it were so, I would think more people would know about it.

  5. Appendicitis develops, when food passes through the intestines, and get stuck in the appendix.

All kinds of food gets in there all the time, but since the intestines move all the time, the food usually gets out of the appendix after a while.

However, if the food does get stuck in the appendix, and doesn't get out, it can cause an infection - appendicitis.

By the time the infection is detected, and operated, it's impossible to tell, what the original food was.

Not eating the pits of fruit because of appendicitis just sounds like a really bad excuse for not eating the pits ..
