  1. Safety equipment has a job to do, what kind of ninny is going to take the corny Fonzie look more seriously than choosing the best safety equipment?   Sorry I forgot we are talking about harley riders.  Well half of all bikers have below average intelligence.  And they are probably wearing a beanie helmet and riding on a Harley.

We are all grown-ups and live in a free country.  You pay your money and take your chances.  When I do wear a helmet it is a real helmet and not just a motorcycle hat.

  2. Does scraping your face off when you crash look better?

Dress for the crash first, and the ride second.

  3. They look fine. Some people don't like them. I ride all the time with a full face helmets. Why? I don't like bugs hitting me in the face or even being stung by a bee. It's happened before. Better safe then sorry.

  4. They look better than brains smeared down the highway.

  5. I think full face helmets look fine on any bike. That's all I wear and I prefer to see other people wearing those, too. However, that could just be because I'm not in favor of seeing peoples' faces shredded on the concrete. :) If you're asking because you're looking to buy then a full face helmet is what I would suggest. :)

  6. Ask your self this : " would your chin look OK with out a full face ? "

Sorry to be blunt, but have been in too many A & E wards and seen " soft " bikers who like to pose.......... and bleed.

  7. Anyone with a Harley looks and probably acts like a low life.

  8. It looks VERY out of place. Full helmets like that are for speed while Harley riders cruise. It also gets hot and stuffy in a full face helmet and traditional bikes are comfort cruisers. It looks very odd to see a full helmet on a harley....

  9. No.

  10. It saved my life.

  11. Your question shows that your priorities are off. What it looks like has nothing to do with the actual purpose of a helmet: to protect your head and the brain inside of it.

Those who do not wear full face helmets take a risk of damage to their faces and even brains. Depending upon how you land in a crash, you are not likely to hit the top of your head only.

I know a few folks who broke their jaws (at least they were still there!) and had to have them wired shut to heal.
