It's United Nations, the key word in this case is "Nations".

It means nations all together, united. But nations...

As far as I know there's no such thing as g*y nation or disabled nation, so I guess the answer is no, g**s and disabled people are not represented in the United Nations.

Also, they're not represented in the football league of Tanzania, nor in the Club of Paris (union of banks), nor in the Grand Prix Drivers' Association, nor in the European Union...

Besides... I don't think we're represented in the United Nation. The governments are represented, not the people.
