  1. Geckos are carnivorous,  they eat insects and depending on the size, small pinkie mice. but they have been known to eat SMALL amounts of fruit. (but not part of their constant diet.)  if you want a lizard that is more of a vegetarian, look for iguanas, bearded dragons, chuckwallas, etc.

  2. Some geckos eat veggies, but not many. Several just eat fruit, and others just eat meat-crickets, mealworms, waxworms, ect.-but NOT very many eat veggies. So yes, they can eat fruits.

    Hope I helped! =]

  3. almost all gecko species have to eat insects or eat a mix of insects and fruit (insects being the staple and fruit being an odd treat).

crested gecko (altho they usually eat insects and fruit) can eat a power that is mixed up into a paste called crested gecko diet (or CGD) it can only be fed to crested geckos tho.

but as i said almost all gecko species have to have insects as at least part of there diet

btw i have no idea what species tyra banks was on about as far as im aware there are no gecko that feed solely on fruit

  4. Yes, they have to eat only insects.

I've never seen mine eat lettuce unless it was really desperate.

  5. I keep crested geckos and they can be fed diets that exclude insects.

They require CGD which is specially formulated with all the vitamins and minerals they need. It's mixed with water but fruit can be substituted for part of the water. They do love fruit but mustn't just be fed on it alone.
