Do geckos make noise?

See i would really like a gecko, my parent say it will have to go in my room.... i have a bearded dragon which also is in my room and he'll sleep and wake up at the same time.... because gecko's are livley at night i was wondering do they make alot of sound?

my albino leopard gecko(blizzard) makes a chirpping sound when he sees me about to put food in his food dish. but other than that the babies(when you first buy them) will kinda make a hissing noise, the first time you try to hand tame them or run off. other than that i don't think they make that much noise. i guess blizzard is just happy when he eats(he is a male) and makes his chirping noises. They are very good pets just be careful not to grab their tails or they can pop them of which can resalt in death. and if a worker at the pet store is about to grab your geck by the tail stop him. (i saved blizzard from a near death exprience.) they are perfect pets only needing so much as two hiding place one under the heat lamp and under the heat mat(if you chose to buy both ethier way you need on on the cooler size and one on the warmer side.) a humid hide away.(to aid with shedding of their skin.) if you do not want to buy one at the pet store you can make your own. it is as easy as using one of those mini yogurt containers with the plastic lid and puting at the hot sid of your leopard geckos house and spraying 2-4 sprays of water in it with a water sprayer.(you know what you use to wet your hair with to comb it.) then do not use sand as a substrate! i repeat do not! if they eat a little bit of it even that 100% ediable sand it can cause impaction killing your gecko! first and for most use paper towls when he/she is a baby. then if you want to when he/she is older use repti carpit. (you can pick it up at almost any pet store.) its easy to clean to all you to do is wet it down and clean all of your pets number 2s. and last but not least keep a food bowl(if you feed meal worms) a water dish (chose whatever style you like) and a calcium dish(to help strengthin bones) also whatever food you feed your gecko dust it with a clacium supliment. by putting the food in a bag then pouring calcium in the bag than shake it untill the food looks white from the calcium. giveing your gecko calcium. the rest you can do is ad any decorations you like execpt for anything you gecko could ingest and heat rocks. they can burn your pet.

The only geckos i have ever owned were leos and Tokay's. I have never heard a leo make a noise but my tokay would make a noise when being held witch i rarely did because he didn't like it Tokay's are very grumpy geckos so yes some geckos do make noises. I have read once the reason the tokay got there name is because of the sound they make.

They dont make noise at night unless they have something to make the noise with.

They can screech but only do that when threatened. So don't give them loose objects and they will be quiet.

I have a beardie and 4 leopard geckos in my room.
