  1. Do NOT get a novacaine shot!  Go to a dentist that uses a dental laser to remove the bad material on the teeth.  No deadening shot is required because their is no pain using this type of instrument.

ALL of the "caines" are AGGRESSIVELY CARCINOGENIC (cause cancer) except for Septocaine that does not generate the aniline homologs that cause cancer.  These anilines are cumulative and dangerous.

DO NOT let them put silver fillings in.  Demand they use ceramic materials and do not let them sanitize with hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide solution.  Those kill tissue and only kill about 30% of the germs, leaving many to promote infections.

If your dentist does not do the above as suggested, I would cancel the appointment and get one that does.  Dentists that are following the "standard of care" being promoted by the ADA are damaging a lot of people in our society today.  Don't be one of them.

    good luck to you

  2. Not if the dentist gives you a sufficient amount of novacaine.  He can also use a topical anaesthetic first so that the injection does not hurt.

  3. no, it doesn't hurt at all.. well, it's a tiny bit uncomfortable for like a second during the shot.. but it isn't painful.. good luck:)
