Do ghosts know when it is Halloween?

Do they care, or is it like any other day to them?

I don't think they even care. I'm sure in the life of a dead person(lol), they have plenty of time on their hands(eternity) so it may just be another day.

i believe that the ghosts sense that the veil is thinnest during this day.

They know - it's when it's easiest for them to get back to our plane of existence.

Of course the Greeks believed that the dead could hear you whenever you spoke of them. :)

At Pagan (mostly Wiccan) festivals that occur at Samhain (pronounced Sow-wen usually), it is common for a ritual to be performed to honor those who have passed. I have seen tributes and tables set up with candles and photos of deceased loved ones. :)

Answer: Samhain, the day when the veil between the two worlds is the thinnest...Not positive! But I'd wager that they do indeed know!

Yes they do,they dress up as the living.

I bet it bothers them.  They see all of these rookies running around and say things like, "Poseur!"
