Do ghosts/spirits ever travel in groups?

So do people ever see a group of ghosts? I think I heard that this happens at forts and places like that. If they're all out there together..do you think they see each other...or not? Seems like if they did..they would get together and go places. They would have more power that way. So..I'm wondering if they can see or communicate with each other...or are even aware of each other. (Guess I'll get another "silly award" for this question! lol)

  1. Yes, they tend to all use the restroom at the same time.

  2. It depends.

Mostly no they don't, but if say, a group died together, then yes.

As someone wise once told me, a spirit doesn't travel too far from where they are comfortable & where they are the strongest.

  3. Only when they feel lonely

  4. I have a friend who sees spirits, and she said the do show up in groups.  Sometimes it's a bunch of family members, sometimes if she is having a group discussion it's a bunch of different spirits there for the different people who are there.  She has told me on several occasions that I have several spirits around me. She said they are my guides and has been trying to help me to be able to get in touch with them.

And I don't think your question is silly at all.

  5. Well I think they do hang out together..

on several investigations we have done we have gotten evps that they seem to talk to each other.. now as far as going from place to place together.. I really dont know..I have heard of people being visited by a pair of spirits that came from another state..

  6. 'ghosts' are not always dead earth beings, they can be astral projectors/dreamers/unconscious astral somnambulators, too.  I think the answer to your question is a yes, though, they can travel in packs.

A good book to read that discusses ghosts in detail is "Projection of the Astral Body" by Sylvan Muldoon --it is a more scientific look into OBEs than the usually adventurous type-- as the author found himself, while out of his body, confined to the physical plane.

  7. ghosts and spirits don't exist.

    .

  8. "Group" spirits are collective energies of spirits which are vibrating on a similar level. This is an interesting, rather than silly Q.

If they're vibrating on the same level, I'm sure they're able to "communicate', with each other.

These, I believe are "earth-bound spirits", who're that way because of tragedy, unfinished business, fear or grief which makes it hard for them to "move on".

  9. I live in a town with big Roman links and there are always talk of the Roman legions being seen and heard around the areas that they used to be. The same goes for battkefield hauntings which appear to be based on the fact that many lost their lives at the same time. Whilst I do buy into the idea that people can astral project, it doesn't explain them all having period costume.

A related story about sightings of groups of angels can be found at http://www.worldwar1.com/heritage/angel....

    Another great question.  Thanks again!

  10. That's a good question, I don't think that was silly... unless we are both silly lol

  11. It really depends on the "haunting".  Many of the incidents that you might describe as "groups of ghosts" are most likely not spirits at all but psychic impressions caused by the extreme emotions that took place there.  A good example of this is Antietam Battlefield, the site of one of the most bloody battles of the Civil War (or of any war on US territory).  During the battle there, the area was soaked with terror, rage, horror, and other extreme emotions.  This caused a psychic impression, almost like a fingerprint.  Those that are psychic sensitives may witness the battle, people who took place in the battle, or even be transported mentally to the time period during which is all occurred.  These impressions can soften with age, leaving only glimpses of what occurred, or they can stay just as strong ad the day they happened.

There are instances reported of more than one ghost haunting an area, almost always caused by people dying together (such as a group of people being killed in a sudden accident, a group of prisoners unexpectedly being executed together, or a group of people being murdered together).  In an instance such as this, the ghosts are aware of each other and can communicate with each other, if only on a limited basis.  However, most ghosts, not part of the same haunting cannot see or communicate with one another.  For example, if you moved into a house where a woman was murdered by her husband 100 years ago and a teen was killed in a horrible accident 50 years ago, you could see both of these ghosts, but the likelihood is that they could not see each other.  They are generally too confused, too scared, or just too lost to notice anything but what is happening directly to them.

  12. i think if they died together and at the same area they might travel in groups..

anyway, i have heard several people say that we generally travel in groups from lifetime to lifetime..as in a husband in your previous life may be your sister in your current life.. souls tend to travel together from lifetime to lifetime in groups..

a psychic family friend (denise) said that my mum in this life was my sister in a previous life..

edit... honestly, i am not the type who is looking for spirits or goes to places that are haunted. i don't go coz because i know i will probably be an easy victim. i feel safe at home because my parents are strong and my grandma is EXTREMELY strong. the whole reason for me ending up in the paranormal section is because my parents have been reading books on new age throughout my life. they read the books and then discuss what the book it trying to say with each other. being an only child, i spend most of my time with them and therefore am involved in their discussions. with many new age books, comes along a few paranormal books, friends and experiences. i ended up here.. at paranormal phenomena coz i realised i know the answers for a lot of these questions. i am not planning to become a ghost buster or to get involved in anything involving spirits..its not a passion at all.. just kinda like a slight interest. I am more into new age and as i said earlier, am not becoming a ghost buster..i am gonna be a wildlife conservationist as i love animals so much..

i think i'm gonna get a lot of thumbs down because what i wrote has nothing to do with your question.. but anyway.. i wrote it to tell you that i am sure i am safe and will not get onto the dark side.

  13. I dont recall ever hearing about big groups, but I have heard stories of small groups of 3 or 4 ghosts trapped by some other entity, usually the ghosts seem afraid of the other entity.

There have been a few episodes of "A Haunting..." which have this type of thing going on, although I have heard of such things before.

(mind you, I don't believe it, I am just telling you of stories ive come across.)

  14. Read up on Gettysburg, and the historical hunting's witnesses have experienced.

  15. Yes some seem to. - and they seem to act out the same events as a group. Whether this is an actual spirit form or just playback is up to the investigator at the time.

Romans - yes Romans seem to be in groups more often than not. The chances are if you do see a roman ghost - there will be more following. This was noted in a haunted cellar, where a whole batallion marched through - from one side to another. The observer noted how dirty and tired they looked - more like a rabble giving credence to the story.

I've picked up on a body of around 10 men marching out of Inverurie on a very haunted road. They were mostly wearing simple linnen clothing which was quite baggy, and I traced this to Robert the Bruce - Battle of barra in 1308 - the low road out to Oldmeldrum. (Haunted Xroads here - more info if you PM me)

I've also 'seen' a sight which I didn't expect at all. It was at Daviot Stone Circle. I just thought I'd get to know the place, and started meditating off to one side within the circle. I could see my surroundings in my minds eye, but I was shocked to see maybe 50 people clothed in beige/white linnen smocks with belts. Most were grey haired and over 40. They did not like me.(some were pointing, and whispering ro each other)

I got up and left. The next time I went I greeted them and stayed outside the circle. This they were more tolerant of, and even got a few nods. The third time I went I did more research - (got a wave from 2 folks) - and found out that it was a crematorium site - so kind of made sense to me.

My partner did not like the site, and felt threatened that she was being dragged there - to kill her baby(not that she was pregnant in reality) I don't know the full history of the place, but It is thought to have been Druids, and that they were attacked and killed on several occasions. Several cremated urns have been found with cremated baby remains inside on the site though.

    - Lots of activity around here lol!

Just remembered - Some old houses on main routes act as ghost magnets. - They can seem to have more than their fare share of ghosts. Sometimes other spirits are kept there by tyrant ghosts, so you get a mixture of effects at locations.

  16. Some Ghosts are actually being left here in Earth because they still have an accomplish mission. They are given 40 days to stay in Earth. Some of the ghosts' mission are telling or signaling who murdered them or how they died. You can feel if the ghosts are there next to you. If its cold but the temperature is warm it means that they've passed through you. A human can only make the ghost possess another human being. Ghosts dont have any powers. But they can make the things fall through the wind. After forty days ghosts are being sent to heaven. To forget the ghost truly, you have to burn every thing that has the memories of the ghost. To bring ghost back in Earth you have to do the Spirit of the glass. But its very serious and you'll be in a very big trouble if you try that game.

It depends. Because they are staying in the place where they died or they are following the person they hate the most.
