Do girls really smile when they make eye contact?

I've been told i'm attractive by girls (sorry about being vain), but I've rarely had a girl smile at me when we make eye contact. They mainly just look down after 2 seconds. Does their confidence level have to do with it? I'm talking about high school to college girls if that helps any.

I think you get more of a smile when u approach them. If your really hot they can't quit smiling!

i dont smile when making eye contact with a guy if he's acting weird around me which makes me trying to figure out his motives (dirty thoughts)

If a girl makes an eye contact with you and smile that means she likes you and interested in you. So stop asking here this question and approach to her.

It really all does depend on how shy they are to how well they like you. I know that if I really like a guy I start to smile.

they are probably staring at you and think they got "caught". it's a self esteem issue on their end; they are shy. go up and talk to them!!

well, when i make eye contact with a guy, i smile. it really doesn't have anything to do with confidence level. it's just a reflex for me.
