I have an atheletic boyish shape. Is there any evidence that it would be more difficult for a woman like me to conceive opposed to a pear shaped women?

  1. no i don't think so ...

  2. Are you actually underweight? Women who are underweight and overweight tend to have more problems conceiving than women who are a normal weight.

Women who are underweight also have a higher chance of miscarriage than women who are in the normal range. However, if you eat well and take your vitamins, don't smoke or drink then you can dramatically reduce this risk.

But really, the only difference between athletic women and pear shaped women is distribution of body fat. There is nothing fundamentally different about the reproductive abilities of women with a different shape. Pear shape women are not more fertile just because they look more 'mumsy'!!

I had a number of friends who are very slim and all of them have got pregnant quickly and had successful pregnancies.

  3. its not about your figure it is about your reproductive system working properly. so unless you are a girl with boyish figure cause you used to be a boy but had a s*x change you should be just fine.

  4. I don't think so but I have heard that if you are very athletic it is possible you do not ovulate every month.

If you are having a hard time you should see your doctor!
