  1. Chinese elm is really leafy,  goats eat leaves,   you do the math.

  2. not sure....

for our goats, they eat mostly anything that is green and leafy but i dunno if its bad for them.... i think goats have different opinions, one of our goats hated daffodils, one loves watermelon.... :)

(btw good choice on getting goats!!! :))

  3. Goats eat almost anything from cardboard boxes to tree leaves.  We don't have Chinese Elms in Florida, so I can't address that specifically.  But they do eat every kind of leaf that grows on all of the vines, bushes, and flowers that they can reach in my garden.

    Goats are hilarious.  .

  4. Goats will eat just about anything they can reach.  It's the nature of the beast.

Good idea to get more than one goat.  They are social animals and a single goat would get very lonely.  Goats also like people and they'll follow you around like a puppy dog.  They're a lot of fun and they make great pets, but you have to keep a step ahead of them or they'll get into everything!

  5. idk ask him

  6. I was born and raised in Texas for 41 years (now in florida for 11)..and we raised spanish goats..we had lots of elm trees and they definately ate them..they kept trees and brush trimmed on our acreage from the ground up to as far as they could reach in the trees..They will eat them..and another benefit, you will have very few snakes around they hate the smell of goats and goats will literally hoof them to death and eat them too..rattlers and all..they are immune to snake venom and have no fear of them at all..but yes..the goats will eat elm trees
