  1. I think it is best to have a filter as it keeps the water aerated - and when you change the water don't change all of it, only 1/3 say once a week. You also get an additive to add to the tap water you replace that takes out all of the c**p in the tap water that the fish don't like.

also makes sure the new water you add is similar temperature to that already in the tank.

  2. Well a goldfish will most likely outgrow the bowl. And yes you should get a filter..goldfish especially create alot of waste. You can do water changes also..but I suggest getting a tank for the little guy insted. Keeping a fish in a bowl doesn't allow alot of swimming room and even if you buy a fish that happens to be small it will grow and soon the bowl will no longer be big enough.  Good Luck :]

  3. A fancy goldfish needs a 20 gallon tank with 10 times higher rated than the capacity of your tank...A common goldfish needs a 40-50 gallon tank with 10 times higher rated than the capacity of your tank..goldfish dont belong to bowls..No bowls...

  4. Just clean it once a week and it will be fine.

  5. Filters,plus a 10 gallon tank for 1.Add 10 gallon for every one you want.So if you want 2,20 gallons.3,30 gallons,etc..

  6. Goldfish or any fish don't belong in a bowl.  A fancy goldfish requires a minimum of a 20 gallon tank with excellent fitration to be healthy.
