What's the point of institutional GPA? Which GPA goes on your BA degree?

I wanted to re-take some courses that I made a C or below on, so I need to make sure that it will not be a waste of my time.

  1. Yup....Stanford...3.9 minimum.  Depends on the employer.  Once I was in a job race that came down to gpa for the job.  My hard work in college paid off and I got the job.

  2. Grad schools will require an official transcript sent directly to them.  Many corporate employers will request the same.  It will show every class you took and associated grade.  (college prof/ retired IBM exec mgr)

  3. They usually look at both, but if they are hard pressed for time, they only really look at cumulative gpa.
