Do grocery stores hire...?

Question

16 year olds for the bakery? i like baking at home and don't think I'd mind that. I'm going to go over to a winn dixie later today and fill out and application. I wouldn't mind bieng a cashier or stocking shelves either. I'm just curious.

I'm not positive about Winn Dixie, but at Kroger you have to be 18 to work in the deli/bakery. They have that rule because of the equipment used (ovens, fryers, meat slicers, etc.)

Pretty much any body under 18 has to stay up front as a cashier or bagger.
