Do guinea pigs sleep?

My guinea pig seems like she never sleeps. When I go to sleep she's awake, when I wake up she's awake. And it also seems like she doesn't blink. . . Is something wrong with her eyes?

She probably doesnt blink when you look at her because she gets nervous, this causes them to 'pretend im not here'.

And guinea pigs like to be awake when humans are awake,they arent nocturnal, they are awake when your awake, and asleep when your asleep.

ha thats funny, yes she blinks but they are quite nervous so she may be more alert when people are around. they do sleep (of course!) but i think they are nocturnal so are awake at night and prob wake up when they hear noise in the day as they are quite jittery

Guinea pigs only close their eyes when they are REALLY relaxed. They do sleep, many times with their eyes wide open.

Yes guinea pigs do sleep. They aren't nocturnal like hamsters so they often sleep when humans do.

All animals sleep. She probably wakes up every time someone comes in the room & thats why she seems to be awake all the time.
