After being together for 4 months, my bf has been really faithful and caring about me. There isn't a time that I had doubted his intentions of staying in our relationship. Although there isn't a declaration of love and being in a committed relationship, I am happy with it. Now that we are going to be farther away from each other and for him being unable to see me often and reciprocate my commitment to still be there for him (having his foot amputated) he starts to detach himself to me by cold treatment and being silent about everything. We had so much plans together in the future, all of which are mostly spending time and continue to enjoy each other's company. There is nothing more I ask of him but for us to continue what we have despite all obstacles.

Do guys change their minds that fast? I understand his situation but I wish I get some response to him and tell me straight up. I am willing to undergo the pain (such as now) to wait and I hope this is worth the struggle. HELP! :(

  1. The problem isnt you relationship its just the amputation of his foot really turned him down...But i do think he still loves you I dont think he will ever stop loving you.

  2. If this is a new amputation, he is probably just dealing with the changes coming in his own life, possible worried you may see him in different light.   Give him time to work on his own feelings about his new image and life changes, I think he will come around if you are still there.   And if he is worth waiting for, you will be there, just give him time and room to adjust.

  3. This sounds like not so much a relationship issue as it is a personal traumatic situation your bf is dealing with. Many people in his situation shut out the world. They close themselves off from everyone. All at once or in a slow motion event. It happens and yet the only thing you can do is to just reassure him you'll be there. It may be for quite some time. If he is having an prosthetic device added eventually, then who knows....it may last longer than that. But if the two of you are fortunate, then you'll find that love, true love will win and overcome all the pain. I believe if you want to show him the  depth of your love, be there for him as much as you can in any way you can. Ignore the indifference and the cold shoulders ( and there may be many) and just be there. Be ready to persevere for awhile, for this may take some time.....

....but doesn't love always win out? Well...it SHOULD!!
