Do guys or girls tend to be more sarcastic?

As well as take to innuendos and irony. My friend and I were questioning this.

i'm a girl, and i'm very sarcastic. and i work with mostly women, and a LOT of them are sarcastic as well. my sisters are all sarcastic, and so are a lot of my women friends.

i think it's women.

I think maybe guys are more sarcastic. I find sarcasm as a source of power, however small. It is a sign of superiority, in a way because it is only effective when said with a condescending tone. Not saying that girls can't be superior, guys just tend to be, or at least act, more superior. I would say the same about innuendos because guys are usually coarser. Innuendos tend to be sexist sometimes. A girl wouldn't be sexist about her own s*x, would she? No, guys use innuendo about girls. I say irony is about equal to the sarcasm count.

That is what I think. Plenty of girls use sarcasm and not all innuendos are sexist. I (a girl) definitely use sarcasm. Again, I'm not saying this is how it is. I'm just saying this is how it tends to be most of the time.

You're question would be an excellent research paper. One that I would be interested in reading, actually. Its funny because, I am a girl, and people always say that I am sarcastic. What did you and your friends conclude? I am more interested in knowing, as I did study sociology in college.
