Do guys wear an engagement ring?

We plan to have an engagement party and I know the bride receive an engagment ring ..... but do the guys?

If yes then is it acceptable to give him his wedding band? or is the engagement ring and wedding band seperate for guys?

Men usually do not wear an engagement ring. However if a man chose to wear something as sort of a promise ring then I'd insist that it be two different bands. A wedding band should symbolize the beginning of your lives as Mr &Mrs. Plus I'm slightly superstitious when it comes to a marriage/wedding

Men usually don't but WHY NOT?  If you would like your future husband to have a ring--get him one.  You are his wife and you can give him whatever you want.

I would give him his wedding band even though it would be early.  If you feel uncomfortable with giving him his band that early; you can get him an additional ring.  He will have two, but hey you have two.

I wanted to do the same thing, because I love going against the grain!  I had a friend who purchased an engagement ring for her fiancee.  He loved it and everyone thought it was sweet!  Why should the female have an engagement ring, but not the man!  GO FOR IT and tell us what he thought.

men dont wear an engagement ring n the man's wedding band (separate) is given at the wedding. i'm sure he could wear an engagement ring if he wanted, but it typically isnt done.

My fiance has an engagement ring. It's a white gold band, and we're planning on getting an actual wedding band with some diamonds in it for him that will match mine.

nope only the girls wears an engagement ring. the guy will wear a wedding ring after the wedding but he doesn't wear an engagement ring

My husband and I used claddagh rings which are worn by both men and women.  You wear it on the right ring finger with the heart facing in to mean that you're engaged and you wear it on your left hand with the heart facing in to mean that you're married.

Men typically don't wear engagement rings.  But if you want him to, then that's just up to you.  But I wouldn't give him his wedding band, that is for the wedding day.  Buy a separate ring for the engagement band.

most men don't wear engagement rings but my hubby wore his wedding band on a necklace until we got married and a few of his friends did the same thing

we ussualy dont, but if my fiance bought me one i would. I think it should be sepertae from the wedding band though.

usually not but i've seen more men wearing rings when ther not yet married but engaged. I wanted my fiance to wear a ring. its up to if you want to.
