  1. It depends on the doctor.  I went to my regular doctor to get birth control for my periods when I was a virgin and he prescribed it without an exam.  After I became sexually active I went to the gyno for an exam and I know it sounds terrible but it's really not that bad.

You will arrive and go to an exam room with a nurse who will ask you about your health history.  She will most likely ask you if you're a virgin but if not make sure to tell her.  Then the doctor will come in and explain what she'll be doing.  Then the doctor will give you a gown to put on and leave the room.  When she returns she'll have you lay down and put your legs in the stirups.  She'll enter a speculum (the smallest they have) to hold open your v****a.  She will then examin it and be done.  Try not to be nervous.

  2. She might, or she might not.  I got on the pill when I was 15 for my periods even though I was a virgin then, and the doctor didn't check me - just asked me a lot of questions to be sure it was the right thing to do.  Some doctors might do a visual exam of your v***a to make sure everything looks normal and some doctors might want to palpate your ovaries to be sure your painful periods aren't due to ovarian cysts.  Ovary palpation involves the doctor putting one finger inside your v****a and sort of squeezing your ovary between the finger inside you and their hand on the outside of your abdomen.  I don't think this hurts - I think it tickles!  But if they decide to do that you might find it more awkward and embarrassing than painful.

Just remember it's over really quickly, and once you're done you'll feel so brave for going through it without freaking out!

  3. yes, they still check you if your a virgin!

no it wont hurt! it just isnt comfortable cause sometimes they have to put an expander in there, nothing too crazy, it just takes a little while to get used to someone poking around down there

  4. Totally understand. I wondered the same thing when I got on birth control. You always have the option, if you are a virgin they will most likely to a quick check up using their fingers instead of the speculum. But even if they do use the speculum it doesn't hurt, the smallest one which is probaly what they will use is the size of a tampon, so it won't be uncomfortable at all.

  5. She's most likely going to check you to make sure everything is okay. It didn't hurt me, although I wasn't a virgin at the time. They lubricate a metal instrument used to spread you open a little down there ( sorry to be so graphic but I'm being truthful) Usually they talk you through it, mine was asking me questions about school and it was over before I knew it. No pain, just a tiny bit of discomfort (and coldness) for a few seconds and that was it. Every ones nervous, but its not that bad. Try not to think about it too much and hopefully she will try to distract you like mine did. Just relax and it will be over and done with. Good luck!Hope this helped =]

  6. Yes they will check you if you are a virgin. The legs go in stirrups and the Dr. will put a instrument in you. Dr.'s use vaseline so it slides in easy. It is not painful but it is a little pressure and uncomfortable. But it does happen quickly. No pain after- wards either. The instrument is used to open your cervix so they can examine and or take a cotton swab and run tests for cancer, diseases etc.

  7. I got on birth control when I was still a virgin also- back pain & really bad periods. I went to planned parenthood they have an option of not getting checked, which is what I did. They still made me take a pregnancy test- pee in a cup && they talked to me about the best birth control option and sent me on my way!

  8. yes and he will pop that **** right there and you will not walk outta there one
