A family member is being told that 300.00 is needed to pay for his uniform.(minus the cleats). Can that be right?

  1. Usually the school pays. But there are some occasions where you may be forced to pay...for instance if there is a failed levy. I had to pay to run track about two years ago at my school plus uniforms. Most likely you will pay for your cleats, but the uniform should be free.

  2. what kind of c**p bag school do you go to

  3. All sports players, and cheerleaders pay for their uniforms.   Unless the school says otherwise.  When I was in high school, at lot of kids sold candy to pay for their uniforms.  Does the school have a program to help pay for uniforms?

  4. No... You pay to play, Equipment is free. I don't really get that....

  5. Usually, the uniforms are provided by the school but that's if the organization has you involved in a fundraiser.

That's how it is at my school.

When I joined football, they gave me a sheet that said "Costs to outfit football Player"

the total was $800 but that's including all the pads and sweatshirts & jerseys. It's all free if you do the fundraising.

  6. it really depends on the school, i mean, if its a small, poor school in a small town or city maybe, but if its a big school in a half-assed decent size city? hes full of c**p....

  7. im my school.. u get the uniform and if u want to buy the jersey at the end of the year u pay $100 and u get 2 keep it... but our team did buy altrernate jerseys with our names on them for $90 for the uniform with persoanlized jerseys... so idk about $300... prob less if they charge u

  8. they'll probably let him keep his stuff otherwise that's ridiculous, my school provides equipment and its returned at the end of the season.

  9. School should be paying. Thats what a booster club and such is for. I want to a new school with plenty of rich kids so maybe its different at other schools. Though a booster club raises money for things like that
