Do hampsters,turtles,fish or any other species feel bored in a cage or fish tank?

Especially when they are reared alone. Do they have feelings like human? Sorry if this question is dumb...: )

yes they do. Some fish can from problems if kept alone when they are meant to be in a group. For instance, Clown loaches should be kept in groups of 6 or more. If only one is in a tank, it will act in ways a loach wouldn't normally act. It may refuse to eat snails, get pail and lay listlessly on the bottom of the tank.

Some fish can develop weird habits when kept in a bear tank. like moving in a pattern over and over again for no reason. If fish are kept in a tank that doesn't have adiquite hiding places and environment, they can become so stressed out that they become sick. They may develop Ick or velvet.

yes..it kills me to see a animal alone in a cage..its not a dumb questions. They cry when they get hurt right?

When you swat them they yelp.

When you come home and he is waggin his tail he is so happy those are feelings.

I hate zoo's and birds in cages most all these animals should be free to run feel the grass under thier feet and just to run. Turtles I have 4 Red eared sliders and 2 are 36 yrs old and they are sweet and like to be hand fed and petted..fish, well I had an Oscar that lasted 8 yrs and splashed us and the cats and dog when we walked by..

he could be hand fed and loved to be petted..so I would say Gods creatures have feelings just like us and an only child.

Ya feel kinda lost at times...like why can't have a brother or sister why do I have to be alone.

My son felt like that except at Christmas and his birthdays  :  )

Most animals are meant to be kept in packs. They need to be kept entertained, and make their homes creative. I have several pets, but they are all at least in pairs. As for the homes, I make sure there are a lot of toys, colors, decorations, treats, swings, wheels, whatever you have...because it has been proven to increase the animals IQ.
