No. Although they're nocturnal, they have poor eyesight. They probably can't see well in the dark, just as we can't either.

Well they are nocturnal,but they don't have good eyesight. In the daytime there practicly blind, so i guess thats why they sleep during day.

They are nocturnal, and they can see in the dark, but they are not adapted for distance vision.  They see better close up. They get a lot of their information by their noses and ears.

hamsters have horrible eyesight, they are night critters hence staying awake from a squeeky wheel or chewing on a corner all night trying to find their way out.  I miss my hamsters!!!!

A hamster is kind of like a vole or a shrew. They are piratically blind in the daylight, and see better at night time. This is because hamsters were originally wild creatures and they needed to be able to see predators like owls. (And they are nocturnal.)

Yes..they are nocturnal.  In fact. my hamster seems happier the darker it is.

Yes, hamsters can see in the dark, but not very well.  They see best in dim light.  

Hamsters are color-blind, able only to see in shades of black/white/gray. They are also believed to be nearly blind in bright light. Some also believe that hamsters with red or ruby eyes have poorer eyesight than hamsters with black eyes.

Interestingly, some references say hamsters are near-sighted, and some say they are far-sighted!  All say that they can't see things sharply or clearly, but the positioning of their eyes means they can see 110 degrees around them, allowing them to spot movements of animals/predators.  

They rely mostly on hearing and smell, during the day and at night.
