Do hamsters do tricks?

Question

ive been reading on different tricks that hamsters can do..but i was just wondering if anyone actually has a hamster that can do tricks..i want to teach my tricks but not if its a loss cause.

if u trained it, then yes

most of them are naturally dumb and gets dumber the longer u keep it in a cage, but the professional hamster trainer could make them do easy tricks.

Honestly, I've never thought of teaching my hamster tricks. Of course we want to think we have the smartest hamster. For instance our current hamster Poppy (a Dalmation Hamster) is the most responsive hamster I've ever had. She immediately responds to my voice and stands at the edge of her cage and when I let her out we play games with toilet paper rolls and stuff.

She stands for food and just loves crawling on me. It's very strange she's much more responsive to me than to my kids (which is bizarre, because you think you buy these animals for your kids). She's like having a very small child. LOL!  She doesn't ever go potty on me. So, I think it certain respects you can train them with handling and to be very responsive pets. So, if you can train them to that point, I don't see why you couldn't try to train your hamster to do little tricks.

Now I might try to train Poppy to do tricks! ;)
