Do hamsters live better alone or in pairs?

I have a Russian Dwarf hamster named Suki, she's soooo cute and has a sweet personality...but she seems lonely, and i was wondering if i should get another.

It all depends on weather or not you have had your hampster for a long time. If you have then no way should you get another or you will find one dead.
Syrian hampsters should never be kept together or they will fight or mate.
Dwarf hampsters are ok if they are intraduced at a young age.
If you stroke a females back and it stays still and lifts its tale it means it is ready to mate.
