  1. ask him if he knows your name and then ask him again 2 mins later and see if he remembers :)  heheheh

  2. Hamsters have a very short memory like other small animals and fish too. That is why they can forget your scent if you do not handle them regularly. Dwarf hamsters especially (like Robos) have to be handled once a week or they can get untamed again. This problem is not faced with Syrians who can be tamed for life though they can forget the scent of the person handling them.

That is the reason too when dwarf hamsters living peacefully together are separated for a week and then put together again, they fight like strangers since they have forgotten each other's scent due to their short memory.

  3. Hello

if you persistantly see and play with him every day he will remember you, they dont loose there memory as quickly as a fish, but they dont have that memorys.

so the answer is yes the do remember and maby 4 a day or 2.

    hopeihelpedxoxo:o)

  4. Their little peanut brains can be trained to remember things.

When I was little I had my hamster trained to stay in a small glass on my desk while I did my homework.  I would give him treats if he stayed and eventually he did without the treats.  He would just climb in and go to sleep.

I guess he remembered me by my scent as yours may.

I don't think they have very good eyesight.

  5. Fish actually have very good memories and can be conditioned to perform many difficult tasks. Hamsters are the same. He remembers your voice and your smell. Probably not how you look though, they have poor eyesight.
