  1. Hamsters do not shed their teeth.Their teeth constantly keep growing throughout their lifetime and they keep it to the correct length by gnawing on hard items. This is why hamsters are given hard dog biscuits, empty toilet rolls etc. to gnaw on. You might even see your hamster gnawing on the bars of her cage.

Hamster's teeth can break sometimes but it is normally a part of the teeth only and can regrow back, so there is nothing to worry about if she breaks her teeth.

However check her to see her teeth only broke half and the base is still intact becoz there are cases of hamster's teeth falling as a whole from their roots due to dental problems and that is something that needs a vet's attention.

  2. If its whiteish yellow then it's teeth.

Animals loose their baby teeth too ya know?

  3. Well hamsters need chewing logs or sticks in order to keep their teeth at a healthy length. It is dangerous for them to have teeth that are too long. Did you have a chewing stick in the cage? if not get one becasue it will shaveto teeth down gradualy.Check your hamsters teeth and see if theyre missing. They might have become abnormally long and broken off. not sure about that one. But be sure the hamster has something to chew on that wont break and create pieces that it can choke on.

  4. Hamsters teeth continue to grow. The best thing you can do is make sure they have something to chew on.If they seem to be getting out of hand, The vet can nip the teeth with scissors. Dont try this at home. Just take it to the vet,its not painful at all.Another thing you can feed them to help with the teeth are monkey biscuits and carrots. A good chewing stick will help too.

  5. they don't shed or break off they wear down there teeth by chewing

  6. Hmm,THat's freaaky.Are you sure it isn't a mis-cut peice of food,or cage?

    Check your hamsters mouth.

  7. i dont think they do any of those things

  8. A hamster’s teeth may break more easily if their diet is low in calcium, dog biscuits are a good source of calcium. A lot of sunflower seeds should not be given, as they do not provide the correct amount of calcium needed for a hamster.

  9. Do you have a chew toy if so he or her might have been knawing down his or her teeth because they don't break or shed.
