Do hand sanitizers work on gloves?

today i saw a policewoman use hospital hand sanitizer on her gloves. do hand sanitizers clean gloves as well? or does it work only on skin? just curious thanks

  1. sure it does.  The main ingredient in most hand sanitizers is alcohol, which kills a lot of germs on contact, whether on skin or other surfaces.
