Do hate how they now call cup series SPRINT CUP?

i cant stand the d**n name it makes them sound like sprint cars but they are not they are stock cars damnit

Its the same problem with cooperate sponsorship and naming rights for stadiums. I would like to see them just call it CUP racing brought to you by Sprint. That would be the sponser...Like Nextel Cup which they used to always call it, so why wouldn't they call it by Sprint cup? Dumb question, really.

i don't have a problem with it but my problem is how they change the name almost every year. it will probably be something different next year

I think they knew that before the name change..but nothing you could really. Sprint sponsors the series, and thats the name.

If it means anything there are rumours that T-Mobile may buy Sprint so the name could become the NASCAR T-Mobile Cup Series.

As much as Sprint is loosing profits I doubt it will be the "Sprint" cup very long.  But face it, it takes money to race so next year it could be the "Tampax" cup.  Whoever foots the bill gets the billboard.

sprint cup sounds better than nextel cup but they should have left it the winston cup it dont make since they changed the name of winston because they did not want to be sponsord by a cigarette company but they still have the bush series why is beer better than cigarettes

It's called the Sprint Cup because Sprint is the major corporate sponsor. Remember last season it was the Nextel cup before Sprint bought out Nextel.
