  1. In Florida you don't (as of now)  have a course, however you do have to have 45 hours of online tests unless you have never worked in a daycare before then they give you 90 days to get the 45 hours.

  2. You must have some college credits.  They usually want someone with a least 6 early childhood education credits... it's a new state law since the No Child Left Behind Act.  Bush doesn't want anybody caring for children, you need some experience or training.

  3. Generally to be an aid you do not need any education. In the state of Michigan an aid needs to have 12 training hours a year in early childhood, CPR, First aid, blood bourne pathogen, and shaken baby.  Most centers will train you once you are hired, so if you have any of this... it is a bonus.  Also most centers require staff to be at least 18.  The director of our center usually looks for staff with previous work experience with children.  Good luck!

  4. Nope, most daycare centers just want your HS degree. That's all

  5. no, most states you just have to be 18 and a high school graduate.  check the regs for your state at http://nrckids.org/STATES/states.htm
