  1. I wouldn't risk putting anything of value in an amial cage for the fact of you won't know they're personality right away and they might chew, rip, urniate, vomit and do other things to or on a object that is in there! Also for the safty of the pet I wouldn't put anything in  a cage  thats not, bedding,a mini litter box, or Clean fresh water and food. Good luck and congrats on your new pet!

  2. Hedgehogs will chew, but they will not gnaw on an object long enough to cause significant damage. Rodents like guinea pigs and rats are heavy duty chewers, but hedgehogs are not. Some will nibble a little bit and things they want to self annoint with, but other than that they are pretty non-destructive.

Some stuffed animals with loose parts, like eyes and buttons, might lose one or two with a hedgehog. Be very careful because it can be damaging to the pet as well. Anything with parts that could potentially be removed and swallowed should not be put in a hedgehog cage.

When putting anything of value in a hedgehogs cage, think about what else could happen. Hedgehog p**p is like glue and is often difficult to remove from some surfaces. If it is something you care about, it maybe belongs next to the cage rather than inside it.

    Good luck!!

  3. they have teeth but but theyre very small. theyre only able to chew cat food, veggies and the occasional mealworm/bug treat.

i have never seen my hedgehogs chew anything else.
