Do hermit crabs like to climb their cages or anything?

Yes another name for hermit crabs is "tree crab."  They love to climb, mine climb on their repti-ramp, their coconut shell cave, cholla wood, and the coconut fiber mat background.  I keep them in a glass fish tank, so that the moisture can be easily maintained.  Make sure to keep your hermies moist!

They love to climb. mine have netting and fake vines to climb up on and they enjoy it. They shouldn't be kept in a wire or mesh cage though. This doesn't allow humidity or temperature to be kept at the rate these animals need to survive. It's better to keep them in a glass enclosure.
