  1. If they were to lose a limb, they can start growing them back when they molt. It can take a few molts for limb to completely regenerate.

  2. yes they seriously grow back but dont go around ripping them off for no reason...

  3. sometimes they grow back...but sometimes, they are just molting and they lose there claws to grow new ones.

  4. Yes, seriously.  It can happen.  It's not like their limbs just fall off, but if they lose one due to an injury they can sometimes grow it back.

  5. Yes, they do. <--To both questions.

  6. Hermit crabs loose their limbs when they are highly stressed or sick. If the thing causing the stress can stop ( Lack of humidity,  stress from a pet shop, poor food, bad housing, untreated tap water, painted shells, etc.)  Then there is a chance the animal will survive to moult and shed its exoskeleton then regrow the limbs. It may take two ore more moults for the limbs to be properly formed again.

Dropping limbs is not part of a normal healthy moult but it can happen if a moult goes wrong.

Usually if an animal looses one limb it can survive and moult normally but when they start to loose many limbs the chances of surviving drastically decrease.
