  1. I would say Hermit Crabs are very lazy and yes they do stay in their shell for a LONG time i have 3 and they lay around all day then at night for some reason the hang on the top of they're cage. but for the most part, very lazy!!

    when they out grow it they get a new shelll

    but they have to find another one

    and when they stay out of there shell for a long time that means that they are sick

  3. yes my friend had 3 and they just sat there. they only moved to get a new spot or to eat

  4. Hermet crabs stay in their shell ALL the time, except when they're changing shells. In my opinion, they're not a very fun pet.

  5. yes, but make sure you give it water daily,  so germs don't build up.  It needs only 2-3 pellets a day.

  6. Yes they do, the only time they come out is to find a bigger shell (because they have grown too large for their current one).

  7. They really should stay in their shell all the time. Unless they're switching shells to a larger shell (which you should have available) most or all of their time is spent in the shell.

  9. it stays in its shells until they get to big for the shell and has to find another one...there shell is there home on there back...it stay curled up alot unless its traveling
