Do hermitt crabs fall out of there shell when there dead??

Question

do they always fall out or sometimes they die imn there shell. because mine is still in its shell but hasn't moved and it was pinching last night but this morning its not

Well, it can happen many ways! :-[

I guess when they die, they can't hold on to their shell anymore, so the do sometimes fall out! :-[

i don't think that they always do, but when my hermit crab died, it was because it was molting and then my sis's crab ate it.
