high levels of lead in any situation can cause a multitude of  problems from physical birth defects to mental ones.  I don't however think erection makes the list I have enclosed a link at the bottom  

I KNow that high blood pressure, diabetes and few other things but if you plan on procreating with the this gentleman I would seriously suggest asking a DR. to preform some tests and tell them what you both have been exposed to.    I have also provided a link about lead poisoning. Perhaps this will get you started on you quest for answers.
