Do homeade projection screen tvs work?

By that do you mean using a projector and a home made projection screen?

If so then yes it does work...and very well at that. I made a 92" screen out of matte while laminate and it is awesome and only cost me about $70. Anything manufactured would have cost 10X that to match it's quality.

The only thing that is a drawback to projectors is that you can't have too much ambient light in the room. Sunlight will totally wash out the picture and degrade the quality big time.
