I went all through school till the middle of my junior yr., i left my high school because we had new teachers and they didnt know what they were doing and they messed up all my grades. the counclers wouldnt do anything about it. so i homeschooled the rest of the year. Then after summer was over i started another high school as a senior. things here arent so great either the school is over crowded and they stuck me in classes that i dont need to be taking at all, and i cant switch out. i was thinking about doing home schooling again. what do homeschooling kids get when they finish their schooling?

  1. If you go to an online charter school it is the same diploma as if you had went to a public school. My son graduated an online charter school, got his diploma , took the SAT's and now attends a private university with scholarships. My other son is surrently enrolled in an online charter school as well

  2. Depends on the program.  Some award diplomas others don't.  You then need to take the GED test to get that.

But it sounds like the way it's going in your school you may not get one from them, at least not until your 20

  3. High school diplomas are often what we're given by parents.  Also, many homeschoolers use 'umbrella' schools that keep homeschoolers safe from government intervention, and these also give diplomas.

Generally we try to avoid GEDs because they often come with a negative stereotype.

  4. in Wisconsin depending on how they are home schooled is what they get

if they are home schooled through a public school program they get diplomas

if they do it on their own the get whats called an HSED *high school equivalency diploma*

  5. Although each state's homeschool laws are different, there are currently NO states that require the GED to graduate from homeschooling.  Some states require homeschoolers to take the same exit exam that public/private school students take.  In our state, homeschools are treated as private schools, which means I can issue my boys their diplomas (I can even buy really fancy ones for them to frame and display).

It also depends on the "homeschool" (and I use that term loosely).  If you are using a state-run cyber charter school (virtual school), you will receive a diploma from either the local public school or the state.  If you are going through an accredited homeschool program (Bob Jones HomeSat, A Beka Academy, or Texas Tech ISD, for instance), that "private school" will issue your diploma.  If it's the school of mom and dad, generally, mom and dad issue the diploma.

All that said, many homeschoolers do take the GED to show completion.

  6. Home schooled kids get GEDs

  7. High School Diploma

  8. try citizens' high school they'll send you homework thought the mail but you got to be 21 so just lie about your age. and you can move as fast as you went to

    just search citizenshighschool.com

  9. Depends on what the states laws are,in mine homeschoolers get diplomas.

  10. If you do just regular homeschooling in the US, it's usually your parent who provides a diploma. There's also the option of doing a form of online or correspondence program through an 'accredited' institution. Or you can do the GED if you want.

Check into the laws where (search for _homeschool laws yourstate_) you live and find a support group (_homeschool association_) to find out more about the specifics.

  11. It depends on your state. You can go for a GED in all states, but the requirements for a private school diploma vary by state. In CA (and some other states) you can still be a public school student, but do the work you and your parents pick at home by going through a charter school. Alternatively, some states allow your parents to set up their own private school which can then issue you a diploma. Lastly, you can go through a local private school or online academy to receive a diploma.

  12. We give them their high school diploma at a graduation ceremony put on by the home school association.

Some will still get a GED because they choose to have both.

Home school diploma's do not limit you from going to college, and neither does a GED.

Everyone still has to take the SAT, and ACT's no matter what type of high school diploma, or equivalent you have received.
