  1. no... actually, i would reccomend that you give them access to water from mexico. i have read (and realized through experience) that all of the poisons in the mexican water is very helpful for a horse. i know pay .01 cents a week to get their high quality water shipped to my ranch. i even drink it myself

  2. YES! We have 2-3 horses in each pasture and scrub the stock tubs 2 times a week. If your horse is inside and uses a water bucket, rinse it everyday and scrub it once a week.

  3. Stagnant water can make any animal very sick. All animals need freshwater to stay healthy, you may want to put some goldfish in the trough to eat the bugs, but you need to make sure there is no algae or scum in the water

  5. No, I've always given mine battery acid. Works pretty good for them, although they don't move anymore.

  6. they have to have access to water, but the standard of "clean" is not the same as that for humans.  Horses drink from ponds and streams but humans usually don't.
