Question:

Do humans cause global warming... in a different way that most think of?

I was thinking about how much body heat humans radiate. Wouldn't it make sense that with the ever increasing world population, that there would be an ever increasing amount of radiating heat vessels (i.e. humans)? I have no scientific evidence to back this up, it is simply a thought. But I guess that is my question. Would the rising world population be irrelevant to the rising global temperature , because the average body temperature would never get beyond the, roughly, 98 degree mark? Or would the growing number of 98 degree "heater humans," create a change in the global climate?

Just a thought....

  1. Its an interesting thought

but I feel it is unlikely

nevertheless- it is always important to pursue alternative hypothesis

  2. No, that energy that we radiate come to us via the sun (through the plants and animals that we consume).

Our effect on the atmosphere through burning millions of years worth of stored sunlight (fossil fuels) is what is making the difference.

  3. Yes but not in that way. We produces Carbon Dioxide by breathing and traveling on what ever we have now, like cars air planes yatayataya.

  4. No, the amount of heat produced by the human body is miniscule in comparison to the factors which heat the Earth.

Besides which, as the human population has increased, the populations of other species have decreased.

  5. No. I don't think that  a temp of 98.6 degrees would affect the ambient temp of the earth. Interesting thought though.

I have found that Climate Change is a more appropriate name.

We are only in Global Warming during the Warming cycle, then we enter the Global Cooling scare during the Cooling cycle etc...etc....

The climate change is earths natural warming and cooling cycles. We came out of a cooling cycle a couple hundred years ago. We will be starting a cooling cycle sometime in the future. THESE CHANGES ARE NOT DRASTIC by the way.

If scientists can't even agree on what has happened in the past, imagine how much more difficult it is to figure out the future.

It amazes me that so many people still believe that we are the cause of the Earth's climate changing.

Economically we are wasting our resources trying to convince the world that a natural warming cycle is caused by man.

Just sit back and continue to to conserve energy and protect the environment. Leave the rest to God.
