  1. Yes

    Hydrogen

Every few hundred miles just like a gas powered car.

Good luck finding a hydrogen fueling station.  You can probably count the number of them in the US on 1 hand.

  2. Yes. Just like a regular gasoline car, hydrogen cars have a storage tank for fuel. this needs to be filled up at a hydrogen station.

however, for short commutes, we don't need these hydrogen stations. Honda and GM are making compact hydrogen refueling staions that fit  into a garage.

and no, you will not have to fill it up more frequently. the Audi A2H2 gets 92 MPG. Hydrogen will cost about 2.50 a pound

(a pound of hydrogen is roughly a gallon of gasoline. or was it a kilo?????)

  3. Yes. There are Hydrogen generating fuel stations in a few countries now Norway, Sweden, and some in California The stations separate and compress Hydrogen from the air and fill up fuel cell powered cars from modified pumps from storage tanks on site.

As of now Hydrogen Fuel Cells are between 60 -80% as efficent  as Gasoline powered cars.

  4. NO, NO, NO.  Hydrogen cars have a range of about 150 to 200 miles, 1/2 that of petroleum cars.

Hydrogen gas doesn't exist on earth (sometimes  a few parts per million can be in natural gas).  To get hydrogen, we burn natural gas or use electrcity generated from coal to make hydrogen.

The process for making hydrogen is 50% efficient, then you consume 10% of the energy in the hydrogen to compress it.  Then the fuel cell is about 75% efficient for 30% overall efficency.  You could take the same energy you created the H2 withand just charge a battery.  The net efficency is 40%.  H2 is not a fuel, its a battery.

  5. Yes, with hydrogen, probably more often than a petrol engined car.

  6. they need to be filled with hydrogen....check for local service in your area.
